Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about the product, your rights as a creator, and how the rhyme engine makes you a better writer.
How does RhymeFlux's syllable tracking help my flow?
RhymeFlux counts the syllables of every line as you type. If you have a 12-syllable bar followed by a 17-syllable bar, your flow will likely sound completely disjointed over a beat. Our tracker lets you visually catch these rhythmic mistakes before you record, saving you time in the booth.
Does RhymeFlux detect slant rhymes?
Yes. Our custom-built rhyme engine does not just look for perfect rhymes like "cat" and "hat". We specifically trained it to identify multisyllabic matches and slant rhymes like "brain" and "flames", which are crucial for modern hip-hop and trap cadences.
Why shouldn't I just write rhymes in Apple Notes?
Standard notes apps have zero awareness of hip-hop structure. They don't track your rhyme schemes, calculate your line density, or provide rhyme brainstorming. RhymeFlux transforms the blank page into a purpose-built rap studio that breaks down your rhythm mathematically.
Who owns the lyrics I write with the AI Co-Writer?
You do. 100%. Anything you brainstorm, draft, or generate using the RhymeFlux AI Co-Writer belongs entirely to you. We do not claim any royalties, publishing rights, or ownership over your creative work whatsoever.
Is there a limit on how many songs I can write?
Free users get 1 active song with up to 3 sections (verse, hook, bridge, etc.), plus cloud sync across all devices. Lyrics are never truncated or locked — you can write as much text as you want. Pro users get unlimited songs, sections, and lines so you can build a full catalog without hitting a wall.
Is RhymeFlux a mobile app or a desktop software?
Both. RhymeFlux is built as a Progressive Web Application (PWA). You can write efficiently on your MacBook in the studio, and then instantly access and edit those synced lyrics on your iPhone while commuting. All your drafts are securely backed up in the cloud.
Can I record directly inside the app?
Yes. RhymeFlux allows you to record scratch takes per line. You can record a vocal idea, listen back, and immediately rewrite the line without ever opening a separate DAW or Voice Memos app.
Can I export my lyrics and audio drafts?
Yes. Pro users can export lyrics to .txt grouped by song and section. Anyone (free or Pro) can download a full JSON backup of their whole catalog for re-import — no vendor lock-in. There's also a free IG-ready 1080×1350 PNG share image for any verse, and you can export individual recorded takes as audio files.
Can I play instrumentals while writing?
Yes. The built-in Beat Player lets you paste a YouTube link or drop in your own MP3 / WAV / M4A file, then loop it on or off. Free users get a 15-minute total beat-playback budget per device; Pro users get unlimited. Perfect for mobile writing — you don't need a YouTube Premium subscription to keep the beat playing while you write.
Are my unreleased songs private and secure?
Yes. Your songs and recordings live in your private account — only you can access them. We never read what you write. The analytics we run only tracks basic stuff like when you sign in, save, or hit your streak. Nobody on our side is reading your unreleased verses.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Yes. RhymeFlux is a PWA so the basics — writing bars, rhyme highlighting, syllable counting — keep working with no internet. Pro users get a 7-day offline grace period: full features for up to a week off-grid. Everything syncs back as soon as you're online.
