These are worked through one word at a time, so the list is short by design. For anything else, both finders take any word and run instantly in your browser.
How the lists get cut
Three rules, every page, no exceptions.
cut by hand
Abbreviations, surnames and words nobody says out loud come out before the page is published.
never piled together
Perfect, slant and phrases stay in their own lists, so you always know what you are looking at.
grouped by ending
Slant rhymes sit in groups by how they close, so you hear how far each one drifts.
Rap rhyming dictionary FAQ
What makes these rhyme lists different?
They are cut down by hand before they go up. Ask a machine for rhymes and it hands back everything that matches on paper, which means abbreviations, surnames and words nobody has ever said out loud. Those come out here, so what is left is what you could actually put in a bar.
Why are the lists short?
On purpose. A long list is easy to generate and slow to read. Cutting it down to what you would really use is the work, and it is the point. If a word does not have at least fifteen real rhymes across all three lists, it does not get a page at all.
Do you show slant rhymes as well as perfect rhymes?
Yes, kept in separate lists so you always know which is which. Slant rhymes are then grouped by their ending sound rather than piled together, so you can see how far each group drifts from the word you started with.
What are phrase rhymes?
Whole phrases that land on the same sound as your word. Power trip and pistol whip both close on drip; stacks on stacks closes on racks. A phrase fills more of the bar than one word does, which is often what saves a line that will not close.
